Sneaky Peek. An assisted living home in my neighborhood started this project last year, I had feared it would be just another parking lot, but I was wrong.
Pepper! At the Tweed Court House!
The History of Community Gardening via Garden Mosaics.
One of the gardens. All together my uncle grows figs (3 kinds), tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, onions, broccoli, grapes and mint. He says the grapes aren’t the kind you eat, that he is growing them just for the leaves. Since he doesn’t use biocides or fertilizers he has had an occasional pest problem and his garden doesn’t always yield what he would prefer, but everything is still delicious and super fresh.
I’m sure there are more fruits and vegetables, but I ask a lot of questions so I tried to lay off a little. :)
Coming soon: Uncle Nick’s figs!
